We’d been working with BBC Food on a bunch of social content, and they wanted to tie some of it together in a new format to release on iPlayer. We came up with a show that would help young people feel inspired and encouraged to start cooking.
We wanted to get some real chemistry into the show, and the talent was the key to that. We brought in young cooks and people like Rinse FM DJ Emerald Lewis, to chat about and taste the food made during some of the recipe segments.

We made five episodes for iPlayer, casting new talent that we felt would make cooking feel relaxed and accessible. We pitched the format, found the talent, sourced the studio, did all shooting and post, and managed the delivery to iPlayer.
It was exciting to transform content that was originally intended for social channels into a bigger show for iPlayer. We were able to uncover and introduce some new talent to BBC, and together create a set that was really fun to work on.
